Johanny Matos is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional in Rhode Island with a strong commitment to providing culturally competent and inclusive care. She holds a Master's degree in Family Therapy and a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from the National Evangelical University. In addition, she also has a Bachelor's degree in Christian Social Counseling from the University of West Palm Beach. Her diverse educational background and professional experience uniquely position her to address the complex mental health and substance use challenges of clients.

With a holistic and compassionate approach, Johanny provides individual psychotherapy services to her clients. Her practice is informed by her expertise in clinical psychology and family therapy, and she is skilled in tailoring treatment plans that honor each client’s cultural identity, life experiences, and personal strengths. Johanny’s experience as an educator in clinical psychology, psychopathology, and behavior modification further enhances her ability to offer comprehensive and empathetic support to her clients.

A fluent Spanish speaker, Johanny is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for clients from Hispanic and Latino communities, as well as for individuals from other underrepresented groups. Her ability to provide services in Spanish allows her to break down language barriers and ensure that her clients feel heard and understood. She strives to empower individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth, while respecting and integrating their cultural values and perspectives into the therapeutic process.
